4 January 2023
The amendment to the new tyre limit regulation within the Rally section (R48.5.11) will now be implemented in 2024 according to MSUK:
From Motorsport UK:
The 2023 Motorsport UK Yearbook digital version will contain some changes to the printed version, the most important of which is the removal of the new tyre limit regulation within the Rally section (R48.5.11) as this regulation change will not be implemented until 1st January 2024. A press release will also be published to explain this change to the wider motorsport community.
What does this mean for the Reed Group East Riding Stages Rally?
Section 16 of the ERSR regulations refers to competitors being allowed a maximum of 10 tyres for the event. Motorsport UK has implemented this requirement in the 2023 version of the Blue Book in error.
You may get a communication from Motorsport UK advising you that this should have been implemented from 1 January 2024.
In this respect, you can ignore this requirement in the regulations and your tyre numbers are entirely up to you.
We're looking forward to welcoming you to this year's Reed Group East Riding Stages whether you’re a returning competitor or a new competitor.
Entries open 09:00 Friday 6th January and close 14:00 Sunday 8th January.
