Beverley & District Motor Club is proud to announce that proceeds from both the 2024 Maple Garage Beaver Navigational Road Rally and the forthcoming East Riding Stages Rally have enabled the club to make a £1,000 donation to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. This contribution supports the vital emergency medical service that serves our region and reflects the club's commitment to giving back through motorsport.
The 2024 Maple Garage Beaver Navigational Road Rally played a key role in raising funds for this donation, with a commitment from the Club that at least £5 from each entry would go directly to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
The Beaver Rally, a long-standing event in the Beverley & District Motor Club calendar, is a challenging navigational road rally that attracts competitors from across the region. Known for its demanding routes and strategic navigation, the event continues to be a favourite among rally enthusiasts.

Following changes to the event format, we were delighted to see an outstanding level of participation. The pre-plot format made the event more accessible to a wider range of competitors while still maintaining the challenge and excitement that the Beaver Rally is known for.
The enthusiasm and support from competitors, combined with a renewed interest in road rallying, allowed us to exceed our initial target and contribute £500 from rally proceeds alone.
Recognising the incredible work of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, at the recent Club AGM the Committee decided to match fund this amount, through proceeds from the East Riding Stages Rally. This allowed us to present a total donation of £1000, reinforcing our ongoing support for this life-saving service.
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance expressed their gratitude for our club’s generosity, and highlighted the significant impact donations have on maintaining and operating their vital emergency response helicopters.
